CMC is a highly pure and fine cellulose ether, made from cotton linter. The appearance of the product is white powder. Its water solution shows high transparency, good rheological property and thixotropy.
Oil drilling grade CMC can be used as water-soluble gel for drilling fluids, and can form artesian well liquor. It has the following features:
