Hyperglycemia
At least 12 human studies have revealed consistent reductions in post-prandial blood sugar, when consuming Organic Nopal with a meal. Reductions as high as 50% are documented and interestingly the effect was not observed in healthy individuals unless in a hyperglycemic state.
Hyperlipidemia
A recent clinical study showed a 15% decrease in LDL cholesterol and 12% decrease in triglycerides. Studies demonstrated similar results including HDL increases, as have numerous animal trials, one of which indicated a mechanism of cholesterol synthesis inhibition.
