Chuzhou Yonghe Sericite Co., Ltd. started to produce the wet-process mica powders in 1995. General Manager Xu Ming, senior engineer in mineral product geology, was graduated in 1982 as bachelor from the Geology Department, Hefei Industrial University. He found, for the first time, the sericite ores in Lujiang, Anhui in 1995, invented a unique technology and began to produce the wet-process sericite powders, such as MAS-4, which was exported to Japan for the cosmetic industry. In 2000, he led the technical staff of the company to research deeply the micro crystalline mica ores in Chuzhou, Anhui, and designed a wet-process working process fully specially for these ores. Silky micro crystalline mica powders with high purity, high aspect ratio and high brightness were produced.
