Brief Introduction
Established in 1991, Shandong Taiguang Electrical Equipment Co. Ltd is located in Changguo East Road, Zhangdian District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, and P.R. China. It is:
1. The specialized manufacturing factory for a.c. & d.c. 10-1000kV/70-600kN silicone rubber composite insulators;
2. The testing base for high voltage insulation technology of Tsinghua University;
3. A world qualified supplier for composite insulators.
4. ISO9001: 2000 certified.
In April 27th, 2001, escorted by Professor Liang Xidong, Dr. Claude de Tourreil, Convener of CIGRE WG 32.03, visited Taiguang and wrote an article named "Chinese Manufacturer Looks to Bright Future for Composite Insulators" published in Vol.9 No.3, May June 2001 INMR.
The annual maximum production capacity is 600,000 pieces.
In 2001, Taiguang developed D.C 500kV composite insulators, which were supplied to the well-known Three Gorges Project successfully. Thus, Taiguang turned to be the very first manufacturer in supplying 500kV composite insulators to this project.
In April 2002, Taiguang finished the project of developing a.c.750kV/300kN extra-high voltage composite insulators by cooperating with Tsinghua University.
In 2003, we developed 400kV post insulator and 500kV/400kN composite insulator.
In 2005, Taiguang a.c.750kV insulators serviced in China.
Series of Taiguang insulators get KEMA type test in Netherlands and 5000h ageing test in STRI.
Taiguang developed A.C. 1000kV/600kN composite insulator in December 2005
Taiguang developed D.C 800kV/600kN composite insulator in April 2006
Taiguang insulators were exported to many countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America.
Up to now, more than TWO Million of pieces of Taiguang composite insulators are in good service in the whole nation and in the world.
A crowd of well-known experts and well experienced engineers worked in Taiguang. And technical support of Taiguang was from Tsinghua University, which is the HV electro-mechanical research center of China. Thus Taiguang Insulator's quality is guaranteed during the stage of design, production and service.
