Petroleum resin is a kind of thermal resin produced by C5,C9 fraction, by-products of petroleum of petroleum cracking. It is a transparent flake and granular solid with the color of the light yellow to yellow. It has the properties of good solubility, mutual solubility ,water resistance ,insulation and very good chemical stability over acid and alkali, and good adhesive strength and lower heat conduction as well. Generally, the petroleum resins are not used independently, but have to be used together with other kinds of resins as promoters, adjusting agents and modifiers.
The petroleum resin is widely used in the coating, printing ink, paint, rubber, adhesive, waterproof material and light industry including wood preservation, paper coating, one layer of pressing plates, such fields as the pharmaceutical carrier. |
