Definite Chill Rolls:-
1. Our rolls are centrifugally cast with dual metal pouring. This process in unique in India and gives fine grain and increase Roll strength.
2. The microstructure of the rolls working surface consist of cementite, fedeburite and fine dispersion partite.
3. Mostly we supply chilled rolls with chill depth and hardness ranging according to requirements.
4. We supply rolls fitted with EN-9 or EN-8 steel shafts/Spindels or according to customer’s requirement.
5. We manufacture rolls ranging from minimum diameter of 156 mm. To maximum of 600mm.
Alloy Iron-containing Nickel. Copper. Chromium & molybdenum and other requisite Chemicals to strengthen and harden the structure of the metal so as with stand strenuous wear condition arduous service.
Indefinite Chill Rolls:-
There are cast iron based rolls alloyed with nickel, chromium and molybdenum having a matrix of pearlite and carbide with flake graphite. These rolls are used primarily for section casting. The material has very good thermal properties coupled with property of imparting good surface finish to the product.
These rolls also available in higher hardness range where the matrix is baintic instead of pearlitic and are used in finishing stands of rod mill.
Double Poured (Alloy Indefinite Chill):-
D.P.I.C Rolls are made of a high alloy iron shell and a soft grey iron or
ductile iron core metal. These rolls are used in finishing stands of rod mills and for flat rolling. The shell material consisting of predominately baintic or martensitic matrix with free marbides with small quantities of tiny flake graphite, have excellent wear resistance to fire cracking. These rolls available in hardness range of 70 to 85 ShC.
