| Autonics Corporation is having a wide variety of counters & timers. One of the prominent series is the CT /CTS / CTY series. These are with maximum counting speed of 10Kcps. Either counter or timer mode can be selected. CTS series is with 48X48X90mm, where as the CT series is with 72X72X85mm. CTY series is with 72X36X83mm. 4digit & 6 digit types are available in the CTS series. CT series is 6 digit type. CTY series is also 6 digit type. The following operations are possible: count up, count down, count up & count down. Pre scaling function is possible in this series. Batch reset is possible in CT6 & CT6-2P models. 110-240VAC & 24-60VDC power supply can be applied. Single preset type as well as double preset is available in these series. The relay output is having a capacity of 250VAC/3A Max. Apart from the relay output a solid state output also is available either NPN open collector with 30VDC &100ma capacity. The unit will power the external sensor with a regulated 12VDC power. The input is selectable as either NPN or PNP. Input from Proximty switches, Photo switches, Rotary encoders, Fiber optic sensors, Micro switches & limit switches can be connected. Excellent memory retention of 10years is there in these counters. So the data will be retained even after a power reset. Batch counter function for is used in batch process. For example we want to pack 200 boxes together & in each boxes we wants to put 5 products. Then the after counting each 5 products, the batch display will go to 1, when the batch display reaches 200, the batch output will change over & the final packing will happen. In timer function flicker mode is available where you can set the on/off time. The other application is for the prescale function. In the cut to length application, the rotary encoder will give a feedback to the counter about the length of paper moved, so a knife will be activated once the desired length is moved. A proximity sensor placed near the knife will indicate how many times the knife is moved down. Based on that the number of papers generated will be displayed based on the multiplication factor we programmed in the counter. The major industrial segments are plastic, special purpose machines, textiles, winding machines, machine tools, printing & packaging. The applications of timers & counters are unending & limited only to the imagination. All these series from Autonics are CE &UL approved. |
