| Description: |
Tunnel dryers, which are continuous dryers are used for drying large amount of wet sliced and solid loose materials. The wet materials are loaded in stainless steel trays of the trolleys or in trucks having stainless steel boxes, which move inside the tunnel on rails from the feeding end to the delivery end. The movement of trucks inside tunnel is done with the help of automatic chain conveyor pusher drive, having reduction gearbox timer etc. The heating can be indirect or direct with automatic burners, steam radiator heated etc. The hot air is blown in concurrent flow, or counter flow, or through flow from top to bottom and bottom to top. This type of dryers are useful for drying large quantity coconuts, copra, grapes, fruits, vegetables, sliced onions ,crumb rubber , ground nuts , noodles etc.
