Joint-Stock Company "Zavod im. G.I. Petrovsky" has been a leading Russian enterprise in the field of radio-electronics for over 50 years. The company is well-known for its tape recorders "MEZ", "Reporter", "Mag", "Tembr", "Romantic" manufactured in the previous years. The first video cassette recorders for our country were developed and produced in the 1970s by our company.
Today JSC "Petrovsky" is a large up-to-date instrument-making enterprise. The number of personnel is 1100 employees.
The Plant contains structural divisions specializing in the following fields:
machine treatment,
stamping and forging,
electroplating,
printed circuit board making,
assembly and mounting production including equipment for surface wiring,
plastic products manufacturing,
rubber items making,
foundry,
tools-making (manufacture of stamps, moulds, tools),
acoustic transformers manufacturem,
testing system (wide-range testing of radio electronic equipment).
The company's products include up-to-date electronic and electrical engineering equipment, e.g. Digital Automated Telephone Station "OMEGA", airborne flight data recorders - the so-called "black boxes", underwater acoustic beacons to detect location of lost objects, car parts and accessories: vehicle heat accumulators, car antennas, anti-vibration mounts to withstand impact to aircraft and other equipment, a wide range of metal-cutting tooling and consumer goods.
The company is seeking foreign partners willing to offer know-how and technology to start joint production at our facilities in Nizhny Novgorod.
