Through the years Akshay Enterprises has attained a stage of the perfection in terms of beauty and quality of carpets.
Akbar laid the foundation of carpet weaving tradition in India, in 1580 AD, as his grandfather, the first Badshah of Mughal dynasty. Babur was very much disappointed by lack of luxuries in India. He missed the luxuries of Persia, including the Persian carpet. Badshah Akbar brought some carpet weavers from Persia, and with their support he established carpet weavings centers at Agra, Delhi and Lahore to facilitate production of Persian styled carpets, which were inspired by designs of Kirman, Kashan, Isfahan, Herat, etc. This tradition, over a period of time, has become a part of our culture.

3) Royal collection of woolen rugs has 14x14 and 18x18 knotting pattern. These Old world designs are hand-knotted in pure virgin wool and then herbal washed.
4) Beautiful patterns of woolen carpets, woolen rugs, silk rugs, handmade carpets come in bold, rich colors which are hand woven and made from pure NZ wool, giving the finished design a plush and lustrous look. Each exquisite rug is washed to give it an antique patina.

1. Hawamahal- This value-oriented collection of woolen rugs is hand knotted in 9x9 double-weft construction. These woolen rugs are in demand in today's fashion conscious furnishings industry

3. Maharani collections consist of 11/11 knotting pattern of silk rugs. The designs and colour combination have created a great demand within a very short period.
4. Veg. Beauty this collection of handmade woolen carpet is made from the finest wool in a distinctive assortment of beautiful traditional designs. This quality has 10x14 knotting construction. It contains 140 tightly woven knots per square inch.
