SADHANA TRUST is providing services for Mentally Retarded, Learning Disabled Individuals, also it is running a Parental Counseling and a Vocational Training Centre. The trust was started by a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. N. Nammalvar in 1989. His experience with the Mentally Retarded children and their parents in and around the city of Madurai prompted him to start a suitable institution for the developmental activities for the disabled especially Mentally Retarded and Learning Disabled Individuals.
The services of the institution commenced with the establishment of a special school for five Mentally Retarded children. The trust evolved further by establishing a Parental Counseling Centre and a Vocational Training Centre. The Trust Board is guided by an Advisory Board consisting of an interdisciplinary professional team.
