Vivek Polychem Pvt Ltd

Company Profile
Vivek Polychem Pvt. Ltd. is a young, dynamic ISO 9001:2000 company that is among the fastest growing names in the field of Masterbatches in India. It was promoted in the year 1995 by prominent entrepreneurs with substantial on-line experience of the Plastic Industry with an ultramodern and latest technology plant. This was the first plant of its kind in Uttar Pradesh with a small capacity of 180 MT. per annum. We began catering to the growing requirements of Indian polymer processing industry with powered by a prolonged commitment to excellence, uncompromising quality and consistency, complimented by total reliable customer support who placed confidence on us and trusted our quality standards since inception. Therefore we have now grown up to a capacity of 2400 MT per annum and today we rank among pioneer manufacturers of wide range of Polyethylene Masterbatches/Colour concentrates and other plastic compounds.
Our Quality Assurance Research & Development Policy
Our manufacturing facility at “Vivek Polychem Pvt. Ltd.” is well equipped with highly automated state-of the-art plant & machinery and latest instrumentation laboratory & trained chemists monitors quality both at the raw material as well as finishing stages, thereby ensuring batch to batch consistency in quality as well as colour specification, each & every batch is tested for its pigment content & colour variation by means of computer. The inputs of masterbatches are provided by strict quality control over the incoming raw material and only approved grades are utilized for manufacturing of masterbatches. We have most advanced R&D department and quality assurance facilities. We are committed to ensure customer’s satisfaction in totality by supplying materials of higher quality as per their requirements and to strive hard on improving our quality and services regularly. We conclude our production under strictest supervision and all our masterbatches undergo rigorous quality checking before dispatch to our customers to make it a problem free masterbatch. Thanks to such advanced equipment, “VIVEK” offers a full spectrum of high quality products “SHINEY” masterbatches & colour concentrates.
A Masterbatch is a concentrate generally consisting of a thermoplastic resin with a high loading of pigments and / or other special additives. The resin in the Masterbatch is selected to give optimum wetting and dispersion of the pigments as well as to ensure complete compatibility with the resin to be colored. The complete range of our Masterbatches and colour concentrates is engineered to perform excellent dispersion at the time of processing and to add gloss to plastic products. The fine mesh treated pigments and processing aids are uniformly dispersed in polymer medium to ease its dilution in medium as well as high output machines. The outstanding physical properties of our Masterbatches result in excellent process-ability. Dispersion & dilution require careful consideration, when using a masterbatch. Theses two terms are often confused with one another.

· The Dispersion of pigment (or additives) within the masterbatch.
· The Dilution of the masterbatch in to the fabricator’s polymer during use.

DISPERSION : -

Dispersion is a measure at both the microscopic and macroscopic levels, of how a pigment, filler or additive is completely distributed throughout a polymer matrix. Various problems can arise at the conversion stage if good pigment dispersion in the masterbatch is not achieved by the masterbatch producer. These difficulties includes : -
· Processing problems, such as Rapid Screen Plugging and bubble rupture in film extrusion which will result in lower output and / or higher scrap levels.
· Film will be damaged by reduced protection against sun-light.
· Lower impact strength may occur in product.

We have entire responsibility to avoid poor dispersion for pigment or additive in our masterbatches by the careful selection of pigments, additives, resin & processing aids during the formulation stage and using the appropriate mixing equipment for a particular masterbatch, an experienced & technically competent masterbatch producer is only able to provide a masterbatch with the necessary and consistent dispersion quality.

DILUTION : -

Dilution is a measure of how well and how easily a masterbatch mixes with a buyer’s polymer. Thus a masterbatch exhibiting good dilution properties will produce processed articles (film, bags, pipe, sheet and etc.) showing excellent dispersion of the masterbatch within the buyer’s diluting polymer. Conversely, a poor diluted masterbatch will produce processed articles showing surface defects (lumps voids), inconsistent colour and / or opacity, streaking and inferior physical performance. The masterbatch producer and end user are jointly responsible for ensuring good dilution. They have to design a total “system” to ensure the dilution process optimized. “System” refers to the various factors which influence the dilution process, i.e. :
· Melt flow index of the masterbatch.
· Melt flow index of the diluting resin.
· Types of processing equipment (extruder, injection molding machine, etc.)
· Processing temperatures.
· Production speeds.
· Back pressure (screen packs, etc.)

Dilution problems can be easily avoided if masterbatch producers and users pay proper consideration to these factors. However, problems will arise if some of the basic rules are overlooked. For example, an injection molder will develop problems if he tries to pigment a high flow (melt index 60) polyethylene by adding a masterbatch containing a 40% fine particles size black dispersed in a melt index 1 polyethylene directly into the injection machine. No matter how perfectly the black pigment is dispersed within the masterbatch, the dilution resulting from this extreme example will always be of poor quality.
