Gayathri Bio Fuels(P) Ltd.

Briquetted Fuels

Briquetted Fuels

Description:
We offer Briquettes which are densification of Bio-mass such as groundnut shells, coffee husk, etc to produce homogeneous, uniformly sized solid pieces, which can be used as fuel. Gayathri biofuels manufactures briqetted fuel that has high density (1200Kg/m3) and bulk density (800Kg/m3) as compared to 60 to 80 Kg/m3 of loose biomass.

Briquette is an ideal Biofuel because of the following reasons:
  • Eco friendly & renewable energy fuel.

  • Economical and cheaper than other solid fuels.

  • Thermal calorific value approximately 4000 Kcal/Kg.

  • Pollution free & non-hazardous.

  • Lower ash content 4% - 8%. There is no fly ash when burnt.

  • Consistent high burning efficiency.

  • Easy for transportation, feeding, and combustion.

  • Combustion is more uniform.

Applications of Biomass Briquetted Fuels
Briquetted Fuels are ready substitute of lignite/coal/wood in thermal applications & replace costly liquid fuels like Furnace Oil, Diesel, LDO, Kerosene, etc. Use of Briquettes as a fuel for green energy has shown very promising results.

Use of Briquettes in Various Industries
  • Steam generation for various industrial applications.

  • Garments manufacturing industries.

  • Ceramic industries.

  • Refractory industries.

  • Chemical industries.

  • Dyeing industries.

  • Milk plant.

  • Food processing industries.

  • Vegetable plants.

  • Textile units.

  • Lamination industry.

  • Leather industries.

  • Brick making units.

  • Rubber industries.

Specification
  • Size: 90mm Dia. with variable length of 4" to 6"

  • Ash Content: About 7 %

  • Moisture Content: About 7 %

  • Calorific Value: 4000 + 100 K Cal/Kg

  • Chemical Contains: Sulphur – Nil
                                  Phosphorus - Nil

Advantages of Briquettes
  • Briquettes are cheaper than coal.

  • High sulfur content of oil and coal, when burnt, pollutes the environment.

  • There is no sulfur content in briquetted fuels.

  • Solid Biomass Briquettes have a higher practical thermal value and much lower ash content (2- 10% as compared to 20-40% in coal).

  • There is no fly ash while burning briquettes.

  • Briquettes have consistent quality, high burning efficiency, and are ideally sized for complete combustion.

  • Combustion is more uniform as compared to coal and boiler response for change in steam requirements is faster due to higher quantity of volatile matter in Briquettes.
